the metal substrate coated with precious metals are
separated from the stainless steel housing. Subsequently
the metal substrate is worked upon by one of the special technologies developed by ReMetall and thereby obtained very fine alumina dust -also known as "washcoat" which contains
the PGM is recovered using high capacity dust suction
systems. The steel/iron casing and metal granulates
resulting as a by-product are separated and supplied to
the raw material cycle. The precious metals Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium contained in the washcoat are melted
out in a complex metallurgical-chemical process, separated
and finally recovered.
