We are looking for glass of a special kind. The glass we need is to be use externally mainly for balcony handrails. The glass will need to be tempered/toughened and frameless without a metal handrail. In Australia we no longer allow a single sheet of tempered/toughened glass without a metal handrail for handrail use. This is because should the glass shatter there would be no protection for falling. The laminated toughened glass allows for a sheet to shatter but retain the protection. There is a company here called Bevelite that manufacture this glass but is very, very expensive and they are they only company in the marketplace making this kind of glass.
