TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT:
1. Material: 304L plates as per ASTM A 240
2. Chemical Composition:
C - 0.025%, Cr - 18-20%, Ni- 10-12%, Si-0.35%, P-
0.03%, S-0.01%, Al - 0.05%, N-0.05%, O-0.005%, Cu- 0.1%
3. Mech Properties: As per ASTM A 240 & 480
4. Finish & Surface Quality: The plates shall have no. 1 finish, hot rolled, solution anealed, de scaled, pickled & passivated. Pickling & Passivation should be as per ASTM A 380.
5. Flatness: 5mm in 4 mtr length / meter width of plate.
6. Inter-granular corrosion test: As per ASTM A
262 practice A & C.
a) Practice A: Ditch structure not exceeding 25%.
b) Practice C: Corrosion rate not to exceed 12 mpy.
7. Grain size & inclusion Rating: Grain size should be no. 4 or finer as per ASTM E - 112inclusion rating shall be <5.0.
8. Ultrasonic Examination: As per ASTM A - A 577 & A 578. 100% surface area coverage by angle beam & straight beam techniques.
9. Marking & Packing: Identification marking on both sides, with respect to heat no. batch no. grade szie, IGC tested ok & UT ok.
