We are traders and we cater to the gold mining companies and to other quarries. Our gold mine customer is requesting for quote on what sieve bend is suited to their requirement to improve their existing operation .
They are currently using a sieve bend, 59 cm wide x 80 cm long, 0.4 mm aperture as trash screen. However, there are carry-overs, about 10% of the feedrate and the gold content of the cyanide solution with the carry over is over 0.5 PPM. The volume of slurry as feed to the sieve bend (about 2-4% solids) is 12.19 cubic meters per hour and 100% minus 75 microns. Kindly help us obtain the right screen surface area to prevent gold losses. What are the next bigger sieve bend sizes that are available at your end?
Currently the two sieve bends are operating in parallel and treating slurry with the following characteristics:
Volume of slurry feed to sieve bends: 12 to 15 cu. Meters/hr. % solids = 2% to 5% with solids specific gravity of 3.6 Solids particle size: 100% minus 75 microns (200 mesh)
The screen is removing ground ore particles with sizes above 0.4 mm. Activated carbon addition is after this screen. The size of the carbon is -6 mesh + 12 mesh. We could increase the slot opening to 0.6 mm. We are looking for a bigger screen surface area with 0.4 mm aperture and bigger in area to prevent carry-overs. However, we prefer 0.4 mm as the solids are fast-settling. We experience solids build up in adsorption tanks.
We would appreciate if you could provide us a quote for the right size for our needs or would you send us what data do you need so you can give us your best recommendations.
