Dear sir, I would like to ask you if you could supply us with the following product: 1-acetamidoadamantan CAS No.: (880-52-4) (hereinafter referred as 'AAA'). During the production of AAA can be used (as an intermediate) either 1-bromoradamantane CAS No.: (768-90-1) or 1-chloroadamantane CAS No.: (935-56-8). The quality of this intermediate is significant for the purity of AAA.
Our technology is based on the intermediate 1-chloroadamantane from which is - as a further step - prepared AAA. It is stated in our DMF. AAA prepared in such a way contains low amount of all impurities and therefore can be used for the production of Amantadine hydrochloride CAS No.:(665-66-7) in the pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur., USP) quality. 1-chloroadamantane can be determined in Amantadine hydrochloride, drug substance, by our validated analytical method (GC). At the moment we are looking for a supplier of AAA prepared from 1-chloradamantane (as described above) in order to increase our production capacity for Amantadine hydrochloride. If you can guarantee supplies of AAA prepared from 1-chloroadamantane, we will be glad to negotiate the conditions for deliveries of 10 - 20 tons of the product in 2006.
