We are looking to import disposable plastic containers from Asia. The problem we have had is that we can not find any manufacture that complies to the EU Directive 200072EC. They all say that they do , but when it come to testing their containers they do not comply. Hence we have wasted time and money. Hopefully, you do.
Before we can consider purchasing on regular monthly or fortnightly basis from any manufacture we need two requirements to be met. They are:
1) The price has to be right. This we can discuss. So could you give us you best price on a box of 500 of the 600,700,750 rectangular disposable plastic containers to start with so we can get an idea at first.Obviously we order in larger quantities. Also, to show that we are serious players in the EU.
2)Secondly, you must have your product checked out with the necessary accredited organization in your area and provide us with a certificate of conformity to the EU Directive 200072EC. In your case it would be The CNAL( www.cnal.org.cn ) you can get their contact details via their website. The CNAL will know about the EU Directives and regulation within in the EU.
manufacture that wishes to sell in the EU will make sure that they meet this requirements as it illegal to import products that do not meet this requirements and any distributor who is found will be heavily finned by the FSA. Hence we can not take the risk unlike other small time importers of disposable plastic containers.
I have attached a copy of the directive 2000722EC, FMC explanatory notes on the legislation, the plastic regulation pdf and recyledplastic pdf which explains how manufactures can comply with this directive.
The CNAL is accredited to ILAC( www.ilac.org ) If we can get a certificate of conformity to Directive 200072EC to say that your products meet the requirements and they have been checked then we can do business with you.
