Chinese Automobile and Motorcycle industry has developed rapidly in recet 30 years since reform and opening up. After entered the WTO, China quickly joined into global economic integration. At present, China has developed into the world's second largest automobile consumer country, the third largest automaker and the world's largest potential automobile market. Thus the country provides global Automobile and Motorcycle industry with unprecedented opportunities for cooperation and development, which includes whole vehicles, parts and after markets. The whole world is in a new round of adjustment currently, and the international industrial transfer is being developed in depth. As one of the key cities of China, economical center of upper reaches of the Yangtze River, comprehensive traffic hinge in Southwest China, national famous modern manufacturing base, and one of eight national export bases of auto and parts，Chongqing is exerting to develop the primary pillar industry of automobile and motorcycle and making every effort to build international “Auto City” and “Capital of Motorcycles”.
In order to stimulate and expand domestic demand to deal with the serious challenge which the US financial crisis causes, Chinese government increases 4 trillion capital spending plan. Furthermore, Chongqing municipality has issued an investment plan of 1.5 trillion to stimulate domestic demand. Thus regional capital spending plan is already nearly 18 trillion. Next year China's total fixed asset investment will amount to about 20 trillion. According to the CPC Central Committee’s deployment, the ecological environment investment and the structural adjustment of independent innovation is the focus of additional investment. The structural adjustment of independent innovation will promote a new round of technological innovation and industrial revolution, advance the industrial upgrading, and become the “energy” of drawing high speed growth of domestic demand market. At the same time, ecological environment investment will vigorously promote the development of energy-saving and new energy industries. Chongqing Municipality has started " the national energy conservation and automobile new energy demonstration movement activity". Therefore, in order to achieve the strategic goal of stimulating domestic demand, the global financial "crisis" should be turn into the "opportunity" of China's economic development and China's automobile and motorcycle industry transformation and upgrade. It will provide an unprecedented develoopment opportunities to China’s automobile and motorcycle industry.
China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair, which is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, has been successfully held for 11 years. The fair function role is more and more prominent. In the last fair, over 567 multinational corporations from 36 countries and areas as U.S.A, Britain, Germany, Japan, Korea, and Russia, purchase principals of more than 870 large scale enterprises, and above 6800 national manufacturing companies and operation businesses had enjoyed this activity. The exhibition space was up to 35,000 square meters and the visitors had reached 27 0,000. During the fair, 1656 pairs of cooperation intentions and 10.17 billion intention sum relating to equipment manufacturing, autos and motorcycles, ships, logistics, IT communication, and industry service had been achieved, among which auto & motorcycle and parts, general purpose machine and part accounted for 46%.
The 12th China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair will be held in Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 13th to May 16th 2009. The thematic exhibition - "International Automobile & Motorcycle and Parts Exhibition" will be held in the main exhibition hall at the same time. Ⅳ. The main supporting activities and publicity
i. During the exhibition, the organizing committee will present "Global Sourcing and Logistics Development Forum", "Industrial investment, Processing Trade and Industry Transfer Summit", "Service Outsourcing and IT Industries Summit" and other high-level series of economic and trade activities.
ii.Negotiations activity: sourcing and negotiation booths will be prepared for collective procurement unit, buyers, distributors, agents, engineering units, large and medium-sized enterprises and industrial plants in need of information technology construcation and transformation, government institutions. Suppliers and purchasers may have face-to-face substantive negotiations according to pre-match press table and arrange.
iii.Investigation: orgazine purchasers and investors to investigate project units on the spot and have further discussion to have better understanding.
iv. Publicity: organizing committee will imvite 20 kinds of professional media and mass media to conduct in-depth media coverage, including China Central Television, news units of various provinces, cities, Hong Kong and Macao, and China Chongqing Television, radio and newspapers.

ⅰ. The global economy is in a new round of adjustment currently, and the international industrial transfer is being developed in depth. China will become the important undertaker of new round industry adjustment. In the same time, Chinese auto market has become the first target maket for international automotive groups. Adjusting industrial structure reasonablly, enhancing technological innovation ability continuously and expanding market share, all thess are keys for competition. International automobile industry development strategy of "Global Sourcing, Modularization Supply" has significant impact on China's automobile industry.
ⅱ. Automobile and Motorcycle industry is the primary pillar industry in Chongqing. Chongqing’s production and sales amount of motorcycle is ranked No.1 in China and that of automobile is ranked No.3. Chongqing is making every effort to build the city into an international "Auto City" and "Capital of Motorcycle", and construct the city as "International General Purpose Machine Manufacturing Base". Seting off a new round of opening-up tide and depending on unprecedented momentum, Chongqing warmly welcomes corporations of automobile and motorcycle and related industry to explore market and share development opportunities.
ⅲ. In order to balance Chinese trade surplus and promote its healthy development, the 12th China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair will set “Chinese Suppliers Zone”, “Overseas Suppliers Zone”, “Purchaser Zone”, “Supply Chain Service Zone”, and “Outsourcing Service Zone” according to spirit of Ministry of Commerce.
