Chromium duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is by 21%, 2.5% nitrogen and 4.5% molybdenum nickel alloy consisting of duplex stainless steel. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good stress corrosion resistance of global and local ability.
With 316 l and 317 l austenitic stainless steel, compared to 2205 alloy in the resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion of superior performance, it has high corrosion resistance, compared with the austenitic, its lower thermal expansion coefficient, thermal conductivity is higher.
Compared with austenitic stainless steel, it is twice its compression strength, compared with 316 l and 316 l, the designer can reduce the weight. This alloy is particularly suited to - 50? F / + 600?F temperature range, under the condition of the strictly limited (especially for welding structure), can also be used to lower the temperature.
