Y12Pb chemical composition:
Carbon C: 0.08 ~ 0.16
Si Si: 0.15 or less
Manganese Mn: 0.70 ~ 1.10
Sulfur S: 0.15 ~ 0.25
P P: 0.05 ~ 0.10
Lead Pb: 0.15 ~ 0.35
Mechanical properties, tensile strength of sigma b (MPa) : (hot rolled) 390 ~ 540; (cold drawn) steel thickness or diameter of 8 ~ 20:530 ~ 755; > 20 ~ 30:510 ~ 735;> 30:490 ~ 685
Elongation is the delta 5 (%) : (hot rolled) 22 or more; (cold rolled) of 7.0 or higher
Reduction of bits (%) : (hot rolled) 36 or more
Hardness (hot rolled) 170 hb or less; (cold drawn) 152 ~ 217 hb

Y12Pb含铅易切削钢,被切削加工性好,不存在性能上的方向性,并有较高的力学性能,常用于制造较重要的机械零件、精密仪表零件等
