409 is a minimum chromium content in stainless steel, the most widely used in automobile exhaust system, it has low carbon and titanium stability can improve the weldability. Ferritic stainless steel after welding can reproduce a relatively large grain size, it has an adverse effect on the organization performance (409 catalytic converter process of laser welding is low heat input, won’t produce big grain).
